Mod Podge
So many of you have asked us to post the instructions on how to Mod Podge, so here you go!
You will need Mod Podge, sponge brush, wax paper, sanding block and/or file.
To cover wooden letters, first trace letter on to printed paper. Cut out on the pencil line. Apply a thick coating of Mod Podge with sponge brush on back of paper. Place paper immediately on wooden letter and with wax paper wadded up, rub over entire letter in a circular motion until all bubbles are gone. Sand the edges of letter so that paper is not hanging off the sides of letter. This gives the letter a finished look and will keep it from lifting. It seals the paper to the wood. When sanding, sand in a downward motion. You may choose to edge the letter with either a chalk ink or a paint pen to give it a more finished look. You may also choose to paint the edges of the letter. Do this after sanding careful not to get paint on the paper. Embellish with ribbons, charms, stickers or anything you like.
You can use this same technique to make any paper craft. Have fun!
